I'd also verify you can open the R*/social club websites to help try to rule out an issue there - though the R* launcher should update itself/social club upon an install/reinstall and can semi-eliminate the problem there. Or, go to the gtav folder and screenshot, timestamps, whatever - it really shouldn't keep grabbing 2 files. Should be able to open steam/steamapps/downloading/271590 and see them or something like that. Find out what 2 files it keeps downloading. Open taskmanager - force close R* launcher, social club, gtav - anything that is open.Ĭlean any files you added to the gtav folder out. I'd start with renaming my documents / rockstar games folder to rockstar games-old. Uninstalling gtav won't remove those files - and if you have problems with those, it will persist. Also quite common to have added the other media feature pack files to the gtav folder - if googling/youtube'n and while they may be 'correct' in game - some can remove the 'error' you would be getting/change it to something else. I certainly wouldn't add any files to the gtav folder - I would remove the ones you did add. Note- Although you are not prompted to restart your computer, you must restart in order to successfully complete installation of the Media Feature Pack."

"The Media Feature Pack for N versions of Windows 10 (1909 currently, and most likely future versions will be this way) is available for download as an Optional Feature. Should also be able to open my documents / rockstar games / launcher / launcher.log and it should give system info near the top regarding what gtav believes you have. Copy two dll (d3d9 and dinput8) from system 32 to "Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V" and the folder when the game was downloadedĬan't suppose - it should fairly clearly say N or KN. Verify file Integrity with Steam and always download two files Launch Steam and Rockstar Game Launches as admin It's my first time trying to play GTA V so i'm a new user. Run the game from local files: Just appears a message "Please run the GTA V using RGL" The same happens if I try to open the game from EGL run the game from steam with RGL (rockstar game launcher) open: The message "this feature is not currently available" appears on RGL, the button on EGL changes to "loading" the game appears on task manager but doesn't open and later the button changes to "quitting".

I'd start with OS build/version (if N/KN), and what does running gta5.exe do - complains to launch through steam or gives missing files errors? Really need more info to 'narrow' it down more unless you want to just start shotgunning all the usual fixes to it. Connection issues, lack of admin/permissions issues, corrupt vcredists, missing media feature pack if on N/KN windows, connection issues, install r*/sc issues, av/security.

did it work before? Just break? New user? There are many reasons to get feature not available errors.
